Buttery, Flaky Make-Ahead Overnight Crescent Dinner Rolls

Instructions
- Whisk together warm water, evaporated milk, sugar, yeast, salt, egg, and 1 cup of flour in a medium bowl.
- Add melted butter to the mixture and stir until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine the remaining 4 cups of flour with the grated chilled butter until evenly mixed.
- Pour the yeast mixture over the flour mixture and stir until a rough dough forms.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dough for at least 4 hours or up to 3-4 days.
- When ready to bake, divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll each into a circle about ¼ inch thick.
- Brush the dough circle with melted butter and cut into 8 wedges.
- Roll each wedge into a crescent shape and place on a baking sheet.
- Cover and let the rolls rise until doubled in size, about 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Brush the tops with melted butter after baking, if desired.
