Instructions
- 1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let it sit until foamy.
- 2. Add warm milk, egg, melted butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
- 3. Form the dough into a ball, grease the bowl, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, fold, and freeze for 10 minutes.
- 5. Repeat the rolling and folding process two more times, freezing in between.
- 6. Roll out the dough again, cut into triangles, and roll them into crescents.
- 7. Place on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- 8. Preheat the oven to 400°F, brush with egg wash, and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- 9. Optional: Prepare cranberry toasted coconut butter by toasting coconut and mixing with butter, maple syrup, orange peel, and cranberries.
