Candied Spiced Nuts

The seasoning

melted coconut oil or olive oil

coconut sugar (plus more for topping)

maple syrup (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C).
- Place pecans and walnuts on a baking sheet and add oil, coconut sugar, cinnamon, cayenne, nutmeg, salt, and half of the maple syrup.
- Toss the nuts to coat them evenly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until golden brown and fragrant.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with the remaining maple syrup.
- Optionally, sprinkle with more salt, cinnamon, and coconut sugar.
- Stir to combine and enjoy warm or let cool completely before storing.
