Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 8 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups well mashed overripe bananas
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. 3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar.
  4. 4. Whisk in the eggs, then add the mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla.
  5. 5. Combine the wet and dry mixtures, folding until just combined.
  6. 6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. 7. Bake for 50 to 58 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. 8. Cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
