Pecan Apple Crisp

The topping

blanched almond flour

coconut sugar

celtic sea salt

palm shortening

chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Place the sliced apples and lemon juice in a 7 x 11 inch baking dish.
- In a food processor, combine almond flour, coconut sugar, and salt.
- Pulse in the palm shortening until combined.
- Very briefly pulse in the chopped pecans.
- Sprinkle the topping over the apples in the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with tin foil and bake for 40-50 minutes until juices are bubbling.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F and bake for an additional 8-15 minutes, watching closely to brown the top of the crisp.
- Serve warm.
