Easy Apple Crisp

The filling

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine oats, almond meal, nuts, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.
- Add maple syrup and melted butter to the mixture and toss until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the diced apples with lemon juice and the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 8x8 or 9x9 inch pan and sprinkle the oat mixture on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden and the apples are soft.
- Serve immediately, optionally with ice cream and caramel sauce.
