Ingredients

  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it sit until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of flour and salt, then stir well.
  3. Add olive oil to the yeast mixture and pour it into the flour mixture.
  4. Gradually add more flour until a dough ball forms that cannot be stirred with a spoon.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
  6. Choose to let the dough rise for one hour, refrigerate overnight, or freeze for later use.
  7. If using the dough the same day, coat it with oil and let it rise until doubled in size.
  8. Preheat the oven to 450ºF and stretch or roll the dough to fit a pizza pan.
  9. Add your favorite sauce and toppings, then bake for 10-12 minutes.
