Ingredients

The dough

  • 1 and ⅓ cups warm water
  • 2 and ¼ teaspoons Platinum Yeast
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 and ½ cups unbleached all-purpose flour

For dusting

  • a sprinkle cornmeal

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and flour, then mix on low speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it's soft and slightly tacky.
  4. Grease a bowl, place the dough inside, cover, and let it rise for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (246°C) and prepare a baking sheet or pizza pan with oil and cornmeal.
  6. Punch down the risen dough, divide it in half, and shape each half into a 12-inch circle.
  7. Let the shaped dough rest while preparing toppings.
  8. Top the dough with desired toppings and bake for 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
