Ingredients

The garlic

  • 4 whole garlic bulbs

The seasoning

  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  2. Peel away the outer layer of the garlic bulbs, keeping the cloves intact.
  3. Cut off about ¼ of the top of the garlic bulbs to expose the cloves.
  4. Place the garlic bulbs cut side up in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil, seasoning with salt.
  5. Cover the bulbs with a tin foil tent.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the cloves are golden brown and soft.
  7. Allow the garlic to cool, then use a fork or squeeze to remove the cloves from the skin.
  8. Store in an airtight container or use in recipes.
