Roasted Garlic

Ingredients

  • 1 or more heads garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. For whole bulbs, remove the outer papery layers and trim the top of the bulb to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Wrap the bulbs tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet or in a muffin tin.
  4. Roast for 30 to 60 minutes, checking at 30 minutes until caramelized and soft.
  5. For peeled cloves, line a baking dish with foil, arrange cloves, drizzle with olive oil, wrap tightly, and roast for 30 to 40 minutes.
  6. For unpeeled cloves, toast in a dry skillet over medium-low heat for 20 to 25 minutes, then cover and let stand until soft.
