Instructions
- Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Combine mayonnaise and pesto in a small bowl and set aside.
- In a larger bowl, mix ground beef with pesto, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Divide the mixture into 4 patties, about an inch thick.
- Grill the burgers, flipping once, until they reach desired doneness (about 6 to 8 minutes for medium-rare).
- Melt 2 slices of cheese on each burger.
- Toast the buns if desired and spread pesto mayonnaise on them.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun bottom and topping with arugula, tomato, and red onion.
