Ingredients

The batter

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 cups packed light or dark brown sugar
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 extra egg yolk
  • 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Whisk in the peanut butter, then add the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, and fold the batter together with a spatula.
  5. Fold in the Reese’s Pieces and spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
