Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch by 13-inch pan.
- Melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until combined. Let cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs to the peanut butter mixture one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the peanut butter mixture with the dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Fold in ½ cup of chocolate chips, reserving the rest for topping.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips, pressing them lightly into the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden on top and edges are slightly browned. Cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
