Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch by 13-inch pan.
  2. Melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until combined. Let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add the eggs to the peanut butter mixture one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the peanut butter mixture with the dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Fold in ½ cup of chocolate chips, reserving the rest for topping.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips, pressing them lightly into the batter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden on top and edges are slightly browned. Cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
