Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Toast the walnuts in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes, then chop them.
- In a large bowl, mash the banana.
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat, then add it to the mashed banana.
- Whisk in honey and brown sugar until smooth, then cool slightly.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the banana mixture and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients and then add them to the wet mixture, folding until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until lightly browned and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan before frosting.
- To make the frosting, brown the butter and mix in powdered sugar and cream until smooth.
- Frost the cooled brownies and enjoy.
