Ingredients

The apples

The filling

  • ½ cup oats
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Optional toppings

  • to taste vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Core the apples and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Mix the oats, pecans, coconut sugar, molasses, cinnamon, vanilla, and sea salt in a bowl until combined and crumbly.
  4. Fill the apples with the mixture.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes until browned and soft to the touch.
  6. Allow to cool slightly and serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
