Soy-Maple Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

The salmon

  • 4 fillets skinless salmon

The glaze

  • cup real maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • to taste chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, and garlic in a bowl.
  2. Place salmon in a baking dish and pour the glaze over it.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes, rotating the salmon halfway through.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F during the last 10 minutes of marinating.
  5. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and transfer the marinated salmon into it.
  6. Bake the salmon for about 15 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Meanwhile, pour the marinade into a saucepan, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until reduced to ¼ cup.
  8. Serve the salmon warm, drizzled with the glaze and topped with black pepper and green onions if desired.
