Ingredients

The salmon

  • ½ pound salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

The maple glaze

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Allow the salmon to come to room temperature and pat it dry.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon and season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. For air frying, cook the salmon at 360°F for 5 minutes, then add the maple glaze and air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  4. For pan searing, heat a cast iron skillet, add the salmon skin side up for 4 minutes, then flip, add the glaze, and cook skin side down for another 4 minutes.
  5. For baking, preheat the oven to 425°F, bake the salmon covered for 10 minutes, add the glaze, and bake uncovered for another 5 minutes.
  6. Allow the salmon to rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
