Ingredients

The rice

  • 1 cup extra long-grain white rice
  • cups extra long-grain white rice
  • cups water
  • 2 cups water

The seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf bay leaf
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Add water to a pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add rice, bay leaf, butter, and salt, then stir and return to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes until the water evaporates and the rice is soft.
  4. Remove the bay leaf and add cilantro, lime juice, and lemon juice.
  5. Adjust salt to taste and serve.
