The chicken

  • pounds chicken breast
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • oil for frying vegetable or peanut oil
  • sesame seeds to garnish
  • green onions to garnish

The sauce

  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil

  4. While the chicken is frying, mix the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a bowl.
  5. In a large pan, heat chili oil over medium heat, add minced garlic, and cook for 30 seconds.
  6. Pour in the sauce mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes until it thickens.
  7. Add the fried chicken to the pan and coat it with the sauce. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
