Ingredients

The zucchini

  • 1 large zucchini

The seasoning

  • ½ tablespoon olive oil (for small zucchini)
  • ¾ tablespoon olive oil (for medium zucchini)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for large zucchini)
  • a pinch salt
  • to taste additional seasonings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250ºF and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the zucchini into uniform slices, about 3/16th of an inch thick.
  3. Dry the zucchini slices with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  4. Arrange the zucchini slices on the baking sheet without overlapping.
  5. Brush the tops of the slices lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  6. Bake the zucchini chips, flipping them after 30 minutes and again at 1 hour.
  7. Continue to bake, monitoring closely, until the chips are crispy, which may take between 1½ to 2¼ hours.
  8. Once done, let the chips cool on a paper towel-lined plate before serving.
