Instructions
- Boil water or broth in a medium saucepan.
- Add wild rice, salt, and olive oil to the boiling liquid and stir.
- Cover and reduce heat to low, maintaining a gentle simmer for 35 minutes.
- Check the tenderness of the rice; if not tender, simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Drain the rice using a fine mesh strainer for 5 minutes before serving.
- For Instant Pot, rinse and drain the wild rice.
- Combine wild rice, water or broth, salt, and olive oil in the Instant Pot.
- Pressure cook on high for 30 minutes, then naturally release for 10 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
