Ingredients

The filling

  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1 small head green cabbage
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp sesame oil
  • 1 sliced green onion
  • ¼ large carrot, shredded (optional)

The wrappers and cooking

  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cubes bouillon
  • generous amount non-stick spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cabbage by peeling off the outer leaves, slicing it in half, removing the core, and shredding it thinly.
  2. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and sauté the cabbage with salt until translucent and soft, then let it cool.
  3. Mix the ground pork, grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sliced green onion, and shredded carrot in a bowl.
  4. Add the cooled cabbage to the pork mixture and combine thoroughly, then refrigerate for at least an hour.
  5. Prepare your workspace with water for sealing the wrappers, a surface for folding, and a plate for the finished pot stickers.
  6. Wet the edges of the wonton wrappers, place a teaspoon of filling in the center, fold diagonally, and seal the edges.
  7. Bring water and bouillon to a boil, then cook half of the pot stickers until they float, about 7 minutes, and drain them.
  8. In a non-stick skillet, heat and spray with non-stick spray, then pan-fry the pot stickers until golden brown on both sides.
  9. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
