Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- 2. In a small bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until well combined.
- 3. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, and stir until just combined.
- 4. Form the dough into a ball and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- 5. Use a fork to press crosshatch patterns into the dough, flattening it to about ½ inch thick.
- 6. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the edges darken slightly and the top looks set.
- 7. Allow the cookie to cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes before serving.
