Instructions
- Combine apples with enough water in a large saucepan to prevent sticking and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until apples are tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat, cool slightly, and blend until smooth.
- Return the mixture to the pan, add sugar and lemon juice, and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
- Adjust sweetness with additional sugar if desired.
