Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar using a mixer.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, then stir in the rolled oats.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 4 inches apart.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes until the edges are set and golden, leaving the center soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
