Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet and add sliced onions, cooking for 30-40 minutes until caramelized.
- Season onions with salt and pepper, then add vinegar and simmer until thickened.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan and form ground beef into 4 patties, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Grill patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, adding cheese on top in the last minutes of cooking.
- Assemble the burgers with the patties on the bottom buns, topped with caramelized onions and arugula.
- Spread mayonnaise on the top buns if desired, then serve immediately.
