Instructions
- Prepare a loaf pan by spraying it with cooking spray.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add the milk and vanilla off the heat.
- In a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and the milk/butter mixture, then knead until smooth.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Mix the filling ingredients in a small bowl.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into an 8x18-inch rectangle.
- Brush half of the melted butter on the dough and sprinkle with the filling mixture.
- Pour the remaining butter over the filling and roll the dough tightly.
- Pinch the seams and place the dough seam-side down in the loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise for another hour until puffy.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and brush the top with the egg wash.
- Bake for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
