Ingredients

The filling

  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • ½ cup white sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar with warm water and add yeast, letting it sit until creamy.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and flour, mixing by hand until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  6. Divide the dough in half and roll each half into a rectangle.
  7. Mix cinnamon and sugar, sprinkle over the dough, and roll it up tightly.
  8. Let the rolled loaves rest briefly before baking.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes or until the loaves sound hollow when tapped.
