Ingredients

The base

  • 2-3 cups raw almonds
  • a pinch none sea salt

Optional sweeteners and flavorings

  • 2 tablespoons coconut or cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the almonds on the baking sheet and roast for 5 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Allow the almonds to cool slightly, then transfer them to a food processor.
  4. Process the almonds on low or high until they turn into a smooth and creamy nut butter, stopping to stir as needed.
  5. Once smooth, add a pinch of sea salt and any optional add-ins, then process for another 30 seconds to combine.
  6. Transfer the almond butter to a jar and store it in the fridge.
