Ingredients

The almonds

  • 1 pound whole almonds

Optional seasonings

  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spread the almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast the almonds for 10 minutes, then let them cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Transfer the cooled almonds to a food processor and secure the lid.
  4. Process the almonds for 8 to 10 minutes until they become creamy.
  5. Add salt or cinnamon if desired, and process for another minute or two.
  6. Transfer the almond butter to a 16-ounce mason jar and let it cool completely before sealing.
