Ingredients

The almonds

  • 3 cups raw almonds

The seasoning

  • as necessary N/A avocado oil or another neutral-tasting oil
  • to taste N/A sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the almonds in an even layer on the baking sheet and toast for 10 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Transfer the toasted almonds to a food processor and process until very smooth, stopping every 30 seconds to 1 minute to scrape down the sides.
  5. If the almond butter is still gritty after 15 minutes, add avocado oil, 1 teaspoon at a time, to help it blend.
  6. Season to taste with salt and serve.
