Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large bananas, mashed (about a cup)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted melted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, mashed bananas, both sugars, sour cream, and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until well combined.
  5. Stir in the melted butter and then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread rest for 10 minutes before serving.
