Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C).
- Toss the chopped apple with olive oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and sea salt on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until soft.
- In a food processor, grind the nuts into a meal and then add the dates to form a loose dough.
- Chop the baked apples into smaller pieces and mix them into the nut and date mixture until a moist dough forms.
- Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined loaf pan and press it down firmly.
- Freeze the mixture to set, then chop into bars.
- Store the bars in a bag or container with parchment between them to prevent sticking.
