Ingredients

The sweet potatoes

  • 2 pieces sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges

The seasoning and oil

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • a pinch cayenne pepper
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons roasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

The garnish

  • to taste fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. 2. Toss the sweet potatoes with vegetable oil, chili powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3. Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, stirring every 5-10 minutes.
  4. 4. Increase the heat to 400°F and roast for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown, stirring as needed.
  5. 5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  6. 6. Drizzle the sweet potatoes with sesame oil and tahini, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and add cilantro.
  7. 7. Serve immediately.
