Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Blend the cold butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture has pea-sized chunks of butter.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently until the ingredients are moist.
- Gently fold in the cheese, garlic, and cilantro until evenly mixed.
- Scoop the biscuit dough onto a lined baking sheet, using about ⅓ cup for jumbo biscuits or 3 tablespoons for smaller biscuits.
- Bake jumbo biscuits for 15-18 minutes and smaller biscuits for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack. Serve warm.
