Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Incorporate the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Stir in the Cheddar cheese and sage, then add the buttermilk and mix until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the tops are golden brown, then serve warm.
