Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and spread the sunflower seeds on a baking sheet.
- Toast the seeds for 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently until they are lightly golden and fragrant.
- Allow the seeds to cool slightly before transferring them to a food processor.
- Process the seeds for 25-30 minutes, stopping every 2-3 minutes to scrape down the sides and break up clumps.
- After about 20 minutes, the seeds will start releasing oil and the mixture will become creamy; continue processing until smooth.
- Add the salt and vanilla extract, then process for one additional minute.
- Transfer the sunflower seed butter to an airtight glass jar and let it rest for a day for better flavor.
