Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and spread the sunflower seeds on a baking sheet.
- Toast the seeds for 5 to 15 minutes until lightly golden brown, stirring halfway.
- Let the seeds cool for a few minutes after toasting.
- Add the sunflower seeds to a high-powered blender or food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
- Process on low speed for 1 minute, then scrape down the sides.
- Continue processing on low for another minute until the mixture starts to clump together.
- If using raw seeds, add oil as needed and process again for 1 minute.
- Run the machine for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until the butter is creamy and smooth.
- Let the sunflower seed butter cool before transferring it to a jar.
