Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, applesauce, olive oil, and vanilla extract until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just incorporated, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
