Peanut Butter and Jelly Oatmeal

strawberry-rhubarb jam or other jam or compote

crushed salted dry-roasted peanuts
Instructions
- 1. In a small saucepan, combine milk (or nut milk or water), peanut butter, brown sugar, and salt. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the peanut butter.
- 2. Add oats to the mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and the mixture is thick but pourable, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Divide the oatmeal into bowls and top with a generous dollop of jam or compote and crushed peanuts.
