Ingredients

The broccoli

  • 1 pound broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces

The seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons thick balsamic vinegar
  • ½ to 1 lemon lemon zest, preferably organic
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • Pinch flaky sea salt or kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the broccoli with olive oil on the baking sheet until coated and sprinkle with salt.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes, then toss the broccoli and arrange it evenly again.
  4. Sprinkle the Parmesan over the broccoli and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden.
  5. Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the broccoli, add lemon zest, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes and flaky salt before serving.
