Ingredients

The green beans

  • 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans

The seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • ¾ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

The toppings

  • cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F and position the rack in the bottom third.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  3. Toss the green beans with avocado oil, sugar, sea salt, and black pepper.
  4. Arrange the beans on the baking sheet and cover with foil.
  5. Roast for 10 minutes.
  6. Uncover and toss the beans, then sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  7. Roast for another 10 minutes.
  8. Transfer to a serving platter, drizzle with lemon juice, top with walnuts, and serve.
