Instructions
- Melt the butter or coconut oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the oats and stir to coat, cooking until they smell toasty and start to turn lightly golden.
- Pour in the water and milk, add salt and cinnamon, and stir to combine.
- Cook until the mixture bubbles rapidly, then cover the pot and turn off the heat.
- Let the pot rest for 7 minutes.
- Check the oats; they should be slightly dry and separated. If too wet, cover and let rest for 1-2 more minutes.
- Serve as desired.
