Ingredients

The base

  • cup milk
  • ½ cup rolled oats

The flavorings

  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • to taste none honey
  • to taste none pure vanilla extract
  • to taste none raisins

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a small pot over high heat until it starts to bubble.
  2. Add the oats to the bubbling milk, stir once, and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Let the oats simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once the oats have absorbed most of the milk, add the vanilla, honey, cinnamon, and raisins, and mix well.
  5. Remove from heat and serve, or store in a Thermos for later.
