Instructions

  1. Choose a spaghetti squash that is hard on the outside and feels heavy for its size.
  2. Store the squash in a cool, dry place until ready to use.
  3. When preparing, you can either steam it in the microwave or roast it for better flavor.
  4. To microwave, cook for about 12 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  5. To roast, cut the squash in half, remove the seeds, and place cut side down on a baking sheet. Roast until tender.
  6. Once cooked, scrape out the strands with a fork.
  7. Serve simply with toppings like parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes or use in various dishes.
