Hibiscus Tea (Agua de Jamaica)

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups dried Jamaica Flowers
  • 3 cups water
  • 4 cups water (to make 2 quarts of the final drink)
  • ¼ - ½ cup agave nectar
  • 2 whole juice of two limes

Instructions

  1. Boil the dried flowers with 3 cups of water for about 20-30 minutes over medium-low heat.
  2. Cover and let the mixture steep for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Strain the flower and water tea.
  4. Stir in the remaining 4 cups of water, ¼ cup of agave nectar, and lime juice.
  5. Adjust sweetness with more agave nectar to taste if desired.
