Ingredients

The Burger

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large pack sliced American Cheese

Secret Sauce

  • ½ cup mayo
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle relish
  • 1 dash hot sauce
  • 1 dash onion powder
  • 1 dash smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, garlic powder, butter, salt, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
  2. Divide the mixture into 16 meatballs and flatten them into 8 patties with an indentation for cheese.
  3. Fold each slice of American cheese into small squares and place in the center of each patty.
  4. Cover with the remaining 8 patties and seal the edges to form burgers.
  5. Combine secret sauce ingredients and refrigerate until needed.
  6. Preheat grill to medium heat (about 350°F) or prepare a cast iron skillet.
  7. Cook the patties until browned on one side, flip, and add another slice of cheese.
  8. Remove from heat, tent with foil, and serve on toasted buns with toppings and secret sauce.
