Ingredients

The sliders

  • ½ yellow onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 ½ lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tsp cream of mushroom
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slider buns

The secret sauce

  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 3 tsp ketchup
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp sriracha
  • dash sea salt
  • dash black pepper
  • dash red pepper
  • dash garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and sauté in 1 tbsp of butter on medium-low heat for 25-30 minutes until soft and golden brown.
  2. In a separate pan, sauté the sliced mushrooms in 1 tbsp of butter for 5 minutes until soft and golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground beef with ground cumin, paprika, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, cream of mushroom, sea salt, and black pepper, and mix well.
  4. Form the beef mixture into 8 small patties and cook in a skillet over medium heat for 4 minutes on each side, adding Swiss cheese on top during the last minute of cooking.
  5. In a small bowl, combine mayo, ketchup, red pepper, sriracha, sea salt, black pepper, red pepper, and garlic powder to make the secret sauce.
  6. To assemble the sliders, layer the bottom bun with a patty, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and secret sauce, then top with the top bun.
