Peppermint Pattie Brownies

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9" x 13" pan.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat, then stir in the sugar until combined.
- Heat the mixture until hot but not bubbling, then remove from heat and stir in cocoa, baking powder, salt, and vanilla.
- Add the eggs and stir until smooth, then add the flour and stir until just combined.
- Spoon half of the batter into the prepared pan, place the peppermint patties on top, and pour the remaining batter over them.
- Bake for 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely.
- To make the ganache, heat the cream until it bubbles, then pour it over the chocolate and stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the brownies and top with chopped peppermint patties.
- Let sit for 30 minutes before cutting, then serve and enjoy.
