Instructions
- Combine sugar and cocoa powder in a small bowl and set aside.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in milk followed by the sugar and cocoa powder mixture.
- Whisk continuously until the mixture thickens and bubbles, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla after cooling for about 30 seconds.
- Let the sauce sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken further before serving.
